Cambodia | Dr Sok Siphana Appointed as “Fellow” of the International Academy of the Belt and Road | 12 June 2016

Dr Sok Siphana, Managing Partner of SokSiphana&associates (a member of ZICO Law), was honoured as a “Fellow” of the International Academy of the Belt and Road at the recent International Forum on the Belt and Road. The event held in Hong Kong on 12 June 2016 was the third instalment of the Forum and was the first to feature Dr Siphana’s participation as one of the speakers for the event.

Dr Siphana who presented a speech entitled “Strategic Perspectives on the One Belt One Road and ASEAN: Achievements, Challenges, Opportunities and Future Direction” was humbled by the fellowship and remarked that, “it is indeed a privilege to be part of this prestigious Academy which comprises of high profile law professors and academics from some 30 countries around the world.”

As part of his contribution towards the Academy, Dr Siphana has written on the legal system of Cambodia, with his writings due to be published at a later date. Dr Siphana also hopes to contribute more publishing on Cambodia to enable a wider audience to learn about the country’s legal system.

On 1 December 2022, KPMG and ZICO Law entered into an agreement under which a number of law firms and teams from the ZICO Law network have joined the KPMG network of firms.

The deal will see more than 275 lawyers join over 2,900 legal professionals in the KPMG global organization, creating a significant legal footprint across Asia. It will offer legal services and solutions, a globally connected legal services platform, and specialists who work with leading technology providers to modernize legal functions across organizations.
