Ramizah has assisted in a number of key corporate transactions in relation to corporate restructuring exercises, listings, venture capital and mergers and acquisitions. She has also been involved in corporate advisory work on, among others, foreign direct investments, banking, financing, derivatives, trusts and regulatory and compliance under Malaysian law and Labuan law.
Ramizah has experience in conducting due diligence exercises and experience in preparing and reviewing various corporate, transactional and financial documentations, legal opinions, trust deeds, due diligence reports and prospectuses. She has also advised and assisted with setting up of trusts, foundations, joint ventures and private funds.
Ramizah has assisted in writing articles relating to trusts under Malaysian and Labuan laws and contributed in the drafting of the legal opinion on enforceability of close-out netting under Malaysian laws in respect of the Tahawwut Hedging Master Agreement issued by the International Swaps and Derivatives Inc. (ISDA) and the International Islamic Financial Markets (IIFM).
Ramizah commenced her pupillage with Zaid Ibrahim & Co in 2012. Upon completion of her pupillage, Ramizah was retained and joined the firm as an Associate in 2013. Ramizah resumed her position in 2015 upon completing her Masters studies.
