Sivagami has handled judicial review proceedings, appeals at the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court on a wide range of employment matters that include unjust dismissal claims, trade disputes and in relation to collective bargaining issues. She also handles various Industrial Court matters independently, ranging from the straight forward dismissal type cases (be it due to misconduct, poor performance or retrenchment) to the more complex constructive dismissal and also forced resignation type of cases.
She has also dealt with individual employee issues such as poor performance, misconduct in employment and conflicts of interests involving employees either by drafting the relevant documents needed or advising on the relevant disciplinary procedures which ought to be complied with. She was called to the Malaysian Bar on 21 January 2011.
Prior to Sivagami joining the firm as an Associate in 2012, she commenced her pupillage at Messrs. Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill and was subsequently retained in the Employment Practice Group.
