We are delighted to announce that Chow Wan San and Tan Hui Lynn have been admitted to partnership at Zaid Ibrahim & Co. (a member of ZICO Law) effective 1 January 2017.

Wan San brings a depth of experience in banking and finance and she advises local and foreign financial institutions, purchasers  and lessors in matters involving asset financing, derivatives as well cross border bilateral and syndicated loan transactions. Wan San was recently involved in the acquisition and working capital financing for Tiger Arches Sdn Bhd’s acquisition of the McDonalds franchise assets and rights in Malaysia. The deal was noted for its innovative combined structure and involved navigating local regulatory challenges.

Hui Lynn’s field of expertise is in  cross border corporate and commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and foreign direct investments. She has experience in handling matters involving the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre as well as establishing trusts and foundations for both commercial and private use. Her MBA (Finance) from the University of Cambridge complements her legal acumen. Her recent transactions include advising on a USD200 million investment into edotco Group Sdn Bhd.

On 1 December 2022, KPMG and ZICO Law entered into an agreement under which a number of law firms and teams from the ZICO Law network have joined the KPMG network of firms.

The deal will see more than 275 lawyers join over 2,900 legal professionals in the KPMG global organization, creating a significant legal footprint across Asia. It will offer legal services and solutions, a globally connected legal services platform, and specialists who work with leading technology providers to modernize legal functions across organizations.
