Geraldine Oh earns spot in ALB’s 40 under 40 Rankings 2018

We are delighted to announce that Geraldine Oh, Resident Partner of ZICO Law Myanmar, is listed among outstanding young lawyers in this year’s ALB’s 40 Under 40 rankings. Geraldine regularly advises foreign companies on entry and foreign direct investment into Myanmar, recent significant deals include representing the Myanmar parties in a joint-investment agreement worth $1.7 billion with Viettel, the largest mobile network operator in Vietnam and advising a Chinese state-owned enterprise in a project relating to the construction of a 220MW solar power plant, being the first project of its kind in Myanmar.

She is well-versed in corporate and commercial transactions across a range of industries including telecommunications, trade, agriculture, tourism and hospitality, services, and the energy sector. Prior to joining ZICO Law Myanmar, her experience includes litigation in corporate commercial matters, where she has appeared in all levels of Court, with a number of reported judgements in the Malaysian Law Reports.

In its fourth annual list, the Asian Legal Business brings recognizes 40 outstanding legal professionals in the region who are under the age of 40. These lawyers have worked on some of the most significant deals and disputes in the past year and have earned accolades from their peers, superiors and clients. On 1 December 2022, KPMG and ZICO Law entered into an agreement under which a number of law firms and teams from the ZICO Law network have joined the KPMG network of firms.

The deal will see more than 275 lawyers join over 2,900 legal professionals in the KPMG global organization, creating a significant legal footprint across Asia. It will offer legal services and solutions, a globally connected legal services platform, and specialists who work with leading technology providers to modernize legal functions across organizations.
