Zaid Ibrahim & Co. Wins Prestigious IFLR National Law Firm of the Year Award

The International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Asia Awards, which recognizes the most innovative deals, teams, and firms in the industry, sees Zaid Ibrahim & Co. win the “National Law Firm of the Year” at its IFLR Asia Awards ceremony in Hong Kong. The firm was also nominated for the Debt and Equity-Linked Deals of the Year for its role in advising the Government of Malaysia Sukuk and the Khazanah Sukuk Ihsan.

IFLR is a leading professional financial law publication for lawyers specializing in international finance institutions, corporates, and private practice. As one of the leading financial law publications, IFLR has authoritative and extensive influence in the industry. The survey focused on the most innovative cross-border deals on which the selected firms acted in 2015. The results were independently researched by IFLR based on feedback from a variety of sources including, private practice lawyers, in-house counsels and financing specialists from investment banks.


On 1 December 2022, KPMG and ZICO Law entered into an agreement under which a number of law firms and teams from the ZICO Law network have joined the KPMG network of firms.

The deal will see more than 275 lawyers join over 2,900 legal professionals in the KPMG global organization, creating a significant legal footprint across Asia. It will offer legal services and solutions, a globally connected legal services platform, and specialists who work with leading technology providers to modernize legal functions across organizations.
