ZICO Law Laos’ Work from Home Protocols

Further to our communication on 24 March 2020, we write to inform you that the Prime Minister of Lao PDR has issued Order No. 06/PMdated 29 March 2020 requiring government offices and the private sector to suspend regular workplace activity and arrange for all employees to work from home until 11 April 2020, except in banking and financial, utility, retail, and medical and hospitality sectors, and announcing public holiday for Lao New Year celebration from 12 April to 19 April 2020. A copy of Order No. 06/PM is attached for your reference.

With this development, rest assured that we at ZICOlaw Laos (Sole) Co., Ltd. have our own business continuity plan in place. During this period, although our office premises will be closed, we continue to be operational and reachable through email, telephone, our Microsoft Teams video conferencing system, or any other communication applications or devices. We are committed to maintaining our legal services delivery and business operations with minimum disruption. We are confident that all ongoing clients’ needs can be serviced effectively despite the constraints in these challenging and uncertain times. Needless to say, given the situation in the current environment, the health and safety of our lawyers, staff and clients continue to be paramount.

On 1 December 2022, KPMG and ZICO Law entered into an agreement under which a number of law firms and teams from the ZICO Law network have joined the KPMG network of firms.
