Experience

Felix’s practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, project finance, real estate joint ventures and financing, securitization, structured finance, global custody, derivatives and financial products. He also advises on insurance and bancassurance transactions and products. In addition, he focuses on project development/operations in power/energy/renewable energy, infrastructure/utilities projects, including privatization, build-operate-transfer/Public Private Partnership and its variant arrangements.

Career

Previously, Felix Sy was a Partner and Head of the Banking & Finance/Insurance Practice Group at Baker & McKenzie Philippines. He was also a member of the Financial Services and Energy, Mining & Infrastructure Industry Groups as well as Baker & McKenzie’s Asia Pacific Insurance Focus Group Steering Committee.  Felix has been recognized as a Leading Individual in Corporate Finance by Chambers Global (2015 – 17) and in Banking & Finance by both Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2013 – 17) and IFLR1000 (2010 – 17).

Announcement

On 1 December 2022, KPMG and ZICO Law entered into an agreement under which a number of law firms and teams from the ZICO Law network have joined the KPMG network of firms.
