Naqiyuddin is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Finance and Securities practice group at Zaid Ibrahim & Co.
He has been actively involved in various corporate transactions involving joint ventures, M&A of private companies and businesses, corporate restructuring and foreign investment in Malaysia. His practice includes reviewing and drafting transaction documents, application, business plans, and strategic advisory to clients.
During his secondment to Indonesia, He was involved in due diligent exercise, cross border M&A transaction and various corporate advisory and legal reviews.
In addition to this, He also has involved in preparing a white paper to the Government of Indonesia pursuant to introduce a pilgrimage fund to facilitate savings for the pilgrimage to Mecca through investment. The white paper covers infrastructure developments such as the introduction of new laws and regulation, development of Shariah-based talents in Indonesia and proposal to regulate pilgrimage businesses.
Naqiyuddin Muhammad commenced his pupillage with Zaid Ibrahim & Co. and was admitted to the bar in 2013. He was seconded to Indonesia from 2014 to 2015. He was subsequently promoted to Senior Associate.
