Catch Dr Akhmad Affandi Mahfudz, Director of ZICO Shariah Indonesia as he shares his experience and insights on Islamic finance at the upcoming Islamic Finance News Indonesia Forum.
To be held at the Four Seasons Jakarta this 27 July 2017, Dr Affandi will be presenting the topic ‘Waqf as a Method of Mobilising Funds in Indonesia’ which is in keeping with the forum’s focus on current trends and issues facing the country’s Islamic finance landscape. The one day forum aims to provide a platform for global industry players to meet and discuss matters involving Islamic Finance with Indonesia’s key decision and policymakers.
Dr Affandi was previously a researcher at the International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) Malaysia, a visiting scholar at the Islamic Business School, University Utara Malaysia and the deputy chairman of Takzia University College of Islamic Economics Indonesia. He had also spent two years as the assistant vice president of Namirah Capital Pte Ltd in Singapore.
On 3rd January 2017, Dr Affandi assumed the leadership of the newly established ZICO Shariah Indonesia.
