About the Speaker

Robert Liew oversees and is primarily responsible for the overall management of the Advisory and Transactional Services division of the Group.

He has been part of the ZICO family for over 20 years, beginning with Zaid Ibrahim & Co., the precursor to the ZICO Law network. He subsequently set-up and oversaw the ZICO Law office in Singapore, kicking off the network’s regional expansion 2003.

Robert was part of the founding management team that restructured the businesses of the network into ZICO Holdings Inc., and on to its successful listing on the Singapore Exchange in 2014.

He is actively involved in ZICO Holdings Inc.’s continued expansion into the ASEAN region, and in the range of its multi-disciplinary professional services; the most recent being into corporate finance advisory, and external asset management.

Robert is a lawyer by training and is qualified to practise in England & Wales, and in Malaysia. He received a Chevening Scholarship for his MBA(Finance) degree in 2003.

 

Announcement

On 1 December 2022, KPMG and ZICO Law entered into an agreement under which a number of law firms and teams from the ZICO Law network have joined the KPMG network of firms.

The deal will see more than 275 lawyers join over 2,900 legal professionals in the KPMG global organization, creating a significant legal footprint across Asia. It will offer legal services and solutions, a globally connected legal services platform, and specialists who work with leading technology providers to modernize legal functions across organizations.
