Electronic & Digital Signatures in ASEAN

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of digital solutions including the use of electronic signatures. While electronic signatures are broadly accepted in the region, they are

  • Cybersecurity considerations
  • Legal and regulatory considerations (the types of documents which can be electronically signed)
  • Administrative considerations (whether regulators will accept filings which have been duly
    signed electronically)
